The gate panel and its drive mechanism are integrated into a waterproof, reinforced concrete vault, buried underground. The system operates using a cable-and-pulley mechanism known from standard sliding gates connected to counterweights precisely balancing the gate's weight. This clever design allows the use of low-power, widely available standard sliding gates electric motors, resulting in a system that is reliable, easy to use, low maintenance and exceptionally smooth.
